Are these two episodes my new favorites of the season!? MAYBE! Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang come to terms about the lies told and information withheld from each other, as Zhou XiaoBai deals with the repercussions of her own actions...
...and as we had towards the final arc of the season, things are shaping up to be high stakes and with a LOT of tension throughout! I was fangirling this entire episode set! LET'S GO!

I LOVE this episode set so much! YES, the tension was done so well and any chance I get more LG/CX moments? HERE FOR IT! I agree, I think that CX had reason to act the way that he did and the season set up his emotions and why he would feel so betrayed by LG really well - even as it sets up the reasons LG did what he did - the miscommunication made me so sad but I get it - we gotta have our boyfriends break up at the end of the second act before getting back together in the final one, right? ;) And I loved the way that they made up - it was so cute and heartwarming and was literally all I needed in those moments! AND YES, CX helping LG this whole time?! So cute but I agree 100% - I have been OBSESSED with LG’s actor and all the tiny expressions and gestures he does throughout this series! THE MOTORCYCLE - Just casual Bougie Boyfriend Business, don’t mind him. 😛 And OH, HX losing it? YES, we love to see a villain going wild and I’m so excited to get deeper into what the deal with his character is as a whole! I really enjoyed this latest arc’s plot and the resolution and how it compared to the donghua and our main duo in both mediums - this week and these last few weeks I am SO excited for! 2024-09-30 13:53:07 +0000 UTCThis episode set has to be one of my favorites as well! You can just feel the tension rising, and all the LG/CX moments were DELIGHTFUL. At first, I thought that CX was overreacting a little bit with LG's lies, but, nah, I get it after this episode set. He is a very trusting person that will give so much of himself to those he loves and not getting the same back must have stung worse than anything; couple that with him already having an inkling of what LG needed and actively doing something to help him, plus LG not telling him making him feel like LG thought he was an idiot (made all the more obvious after we discover that CX knew some of it already) and, yeah, CX reaction feels a lot more valid. I'm glad thought that it was all soled swiftly and beautifully. I was not expecting to see Shang Hai's friend ever again, but I was pleasantly surprised to see him; and considering his own history with Shang Hai he really felt like the best candidate to talk some sense into CX. Of course, the making up is always sweeter than anything, and this show did not disappoint with it. CX's little cheekiness while he was plotting to help LG but not yet telling him that he had forgiven him was adorable and I'm a little bit obsessed with it. Just as I am obsessed with LG being so honest now to compensate for his past lies. HX *losing it* this episode was such a trip but I am HERE for it. Please, we need to find out what is going on with him >_< THE MOTORCYCLE IN THE END!!!!! I can't believe LG just casually bought CX a motorcycle. That's just something so casual to do, of course, nothing especial at all *dies internally* The story of Master Bai and the wonton restaurant owner paralleling Zhu Xiabai's was such a good plot twist. Yes, these two old people who have loved each other through the decades but because of duty just being friends contrasting the very quick flame that was Zhu Xiaobai's romance added a whole-lot of depth to the whole arc in such a simple little way. I'm so happy that things are slotting together now, and I can't wait to see what'll happen now. i don't think I'm ready for it, though.
