Vinland Saga Replacement Suggestions

We are approaching, sadly, the end of Vinland Saga season 2 this month!
To prepare, I want to take suggestions to replace it to put into a poll for Patreon! Please NO sports anime, slice of life, or romance series (I'll watch those, don't worry!).
I'm looking for a series you all think would be a GOOD replacement for Vinland Saga, aka a similar show, so I'm excited to see what you all recommend!
I'll keep recommendations open between now and Tuesday, June 6th!

2023-06-05 21:04:43 +0000 UTCNot sure how you feel about the Gundam series but I would recommend Gundam: Iron BIooded Orphans. It's mecha and Sci-Fi, but has a lot of similar themes I feel. It also is an emotional rollercoaster throughout.

It’s almost a bit of everything, grand dark fantasy epic romance isekai mecha and with all that works and tells an amazing story with some the most gorgeous animation thanks to the epic production team that did Cowboy Bebop over at Sunrise and scored with beautiful music by the legendary Yoko Kanno. Or “Made In Abyss” another series that is gorgeously animated and tells a story of adventure that is exhilarating and wondrous as well as horrifying.

I AM wanting to do another retro poll, but since I already have Trigun and Monster that I'm watching, I wanted to just aim for shows that are "similar" in tone to Vinland Saga for now, but I do want to have a retro poll down the road. :) Legend of the Galactic Heroes would definitely be on it!

2023-06-03 21:38:17 +0000 UTCGolden Kamuy's historical aspects makes it a very fitting option. It also has unique setting and characters. Although, the anime to me is good, but the manga is a must read, so much better and detailed. Def would have to hop on the manga after watching the anime
