Season 2 is NOT letting up with the cuteness and with Natsume's growth as a character -- and now, it's time to see him as a doting...parent?! Natsume finds himself rescuing a lone egg that is wanted by a particular yokai...and for good reason!
This episode was so sweet and the typical Natsume Yujin-Cho heartwarming standard!

INDUSTRIAL GRADE CUTENESS - I agree, this dragon baby is so cute, I don't think I could have survived its adorableness an entire episode. And yes, Madara pretending not to care is so obvious at this point! CHUB SHRUB - I need to get into the dub, because that's hilarious. I do love how parental Natsume gets with "eggy" in this -- the episode as a whole was so sweet and really nice development with his character! It is remarkable that Eggy doesn’t actually appear until half-way through the episode – we only get about 10min of this level of industrial grade cuteness. This was the right call, I think, I’m not sure I would have survived a full ep. 😂 Always love Madara attempting to pretend not to care. And then Natsume (in the scene where Eggy bites Madara’s tail the first time), immediately goes ‘you’ll get a tummy ache!’ with not a word spared for Madara. 😂 In the dub, Madara gets called ‘chub-shrub.‘ Lots of hilarity in this episode. The discussion about Natsume projecting was really interesting and I’m in agreement, this is something I hadn’t considered for this episode before, definitely adds an extra layer to the urgency/eagerness with which Natsume was wanting to ‘raise’ Eggy. Wonderful ep. Cannot wait for next week! 💙
