I took small break from commissions and finished this base today, from tomorrow I will have less work on the other YCHs when this is already finished and I will be able to work on the promised sketch of one badger :)

I am trying to figure out a less saturated light and more cold colours for this scene, yet still to keep it interesting... while doing it I noticed that most often I play with contrasts and sunlight to bring more volume to the artwork so it is kinda challenging to do this scene without direct sun...

Reading a book - WIP

I found a time to paint for a while yesterday in the evening and instead of starting any of the commissions I worked on this older artwork of mine. Still a lot to be done, I am thinking about clothes, probably something comfortable and cosy... but I'd like to share a wip now anyway :)
