I really dislike it when games shove their character creation into the narrative. I really prefer that it take place outside in the menus, and not occur after my guy already has a presence in the game world. It just feels weird. Anyone else agree?
Been playing a little bit of Double Fine's Massive Chalice this week. It's basically XCOM, but with a parent-child breeding system similar to Fire Emblem. It's not a game without some flaws, but I love turn-based strategy, and Massive Chalice offers a neat take on it.
