Still editing her sound effects. A few frames have some bad artifacting on them and I need to re-render them. Sorry about the extra delay. :( But what I am seeing here really detracts from the presentation.

Rendering will be done in a little over two hours. Unfortunately I'm pretty tired by now.. I've been up since very early today. When the rendering is done I still need to finalize sound effects so please bear with me as I need a wee bit more time. See you all on the other side.

Hey everybody... Sorry I've been quiet. I have been pounding on the animation every single day and I'm very close to render time. I just have to sim some cloth and then set up lighting (and perhaps some final textures). I'll let you know when I pull the render trigger.

YES! It's working finally. After several failed attempts throughout yesterday and today, I've got a working solution to the complex sims in her first animation. Not done yet.. But at least I know it's working now and progress will be forward progress.

I should clarify my previous post... If all things were equal, I would be almost done by now. But this animation will have pretty elaborate cloth sims and soft body sims. So we'll see how long that takes.. I'll keep you informed.

I transferred the raw motion capture data over to Maria's rig. I've just finished up cleaning up her legs/feet. You can see in the attached video the raw mocap data in the light blue skeleton. I moved it to one side to make things easier to see.

Maria has been retopologized and has a displacement map created.. That is to say she looks pretty much like the raw sculpture but with far fewer polygons so she can now be rigged and animated. More to come!

No more hair added, but lots of other changes. Major surgery because she already had UV Maps so I had to repair all of the UVs after these changes:
