Missed chance.

On January the 29th, I was supposed to shoot once more with Ary, but unfortunately she was ill and had to cancel the whole trip to Milano.
This portrait was shot in her home in Ferrara, and I love her beautiful eyes.
We will have another chance in the future, I hope.
Do you?

Intricate.

Don't ask me how exactly was this pose of Martina, because I don't remember, but she looks comfortable and relaxed, as always when nude.
This was from our shooting n. 13, in Feb. 2021.
And yes, also this is safe in my Archives.

Making space 03.

Apparently I haven't finish creating space for the coming shootings  in my cluttered Mac, and the one of Esther was the next I had to remove from Lightroom until later.

But don't worry, the work on these shootings is just delayed, and I will eventually work on them again in the future....

Creature of the dark.

When the light started to fade away, I took out of my backpack the heavy artillery like Schwarzenegger in the action movies from the 90ties, and prepared to shoot the creatures of the dark.
But the shadows in the studio were populated just with the cute Annalisa, and I was shooting with the ol...

Movie star.

I'm extremely happy about my shooting with Sophy.
When you look at today's photo you imagine some kind of Photoshop magic to enhance her image like she was a movie star from the 50ties, and I would love to confirm my incredible talent but, to say the truth, the merit goes to a stunning model a...

Needed some relax.

Some rest is what I need in these days.
At work we have a lot to do (even on Saturday mornings) and it was not the ideal month to make so many shootings, but still, it was important for me to do them all.
So I had little time to relax in the past weeks, but at least I like to look at Cristi...

In order of appearance 02

For the people that did not read yesterday post, here are some statistics of January the 26th 2023, a day that’s going to be remembered in the Bramley Apple Project as the first ever with 2 shootings, and maybe the last one…
Sophy 899 frames.
Annalisa 461 frames.
The Leica SL2-S shot...

First of all, let’s get sorted the bad news, Ary is sick and is not going to make the trip to Milan, so our shooting for Sunday has been cancelled.

And now we can tackle the 2 good news: both shootings from yesterday went very well even if they were shorter than usual (2 hours instead of ...

Tan lines.

Not everybody likes tan lines on pretty ladies, but I think they add to the mystery.
It is as if we're the only ones allowed to see something that is usually hidden from everybody else, not under the sun.
And the added benefit in this particular photo is that the breast of Linda is better s...

Graceful.

I flirted professionally with Ania for a long time before she accepted to work with me.
I was so determined because I've been conquered by her grace in every photo I ever came across.
This image is just one more example of how graceful Ania is in every situation, even in a desolate location...

Reverting to old technologies.

In the next shootings with Sophy, Annalisa and Ary I might have to work in low light conditions, after all we're in full Winter time in Italy...
So I'm considering going back to the old Nikon D810 DSLR with the Profoto A1 flash unit, at least for some of the photos.
After all this sequence...

Tickling her foot.

The Bramley Apple logo is essential, to draw people towards the entire project, and to avoid (at least partially) the stealing of my photos.
Pity that sometime the logo position end up bothering or hiding the model's shape, especially the older version with the added leaf.

In this case i...

Sum of the parts.

With her pretty face, Sophy always wins hands down.
But I also wanted to try and enhance her torso without even having the distraction of the face in the frame, and she just shines anyway, showing the same elegance of her full figure.
I'm pretty sure every part of her body exudes the same l...

Making space 02.

In order to create some space for the 3 shootings coming later this month in my cluttered Mac, I had to transfer a couple of shootings on an external server. It wasn't easy to decide which to sacrifice, but it had to be done.

The first one was Claudia, yesterday, and this is Denise.  View Post

Balancing elements.

Martina gives you the time to compose the pictures in the best way, and she balances with her beauty the whole photo.
Strong subjects are frequently dictating the composition, and Martina is a good example, every single time.

Flexible art.

The young ladies I portray are flexible, so you can pull off a back-view of the bottom while still getting a nearly frontal portrait of the face in the same picture, and the pose still feel natural and relaxed!
Just a few creases on the neck and on the side of the belly are giving away the ext...

How things have changed.

When you place a model between 2 windows (especially a blond one), you always get a nice glow all around the body and in the backlighted hair, that helps her to stand out from the darker background.

These were the first pictures I ever made of Cristiana, at the beginning of our first shooti...

Unlocking models.

Looking good.

This photo was shot in July 2022, after 15 months of separation from this beauty.
She looked tired, possibly from the hot day and having just travelled from Florence.
My idea to avoid make-up, this time didn't pay off, so I have to retouch her eye sockets in the pictures.
But don't worry...

Talking about decreasing the shootings.

19 shootings were too many in 2022, and most of them are still stuck in my Mac books...

I love busy backgrounds and messy rooms, they add to the variety of my photos but do not distract so much from the bodies of models (especially if they are nicely out of focus).
