Well...
It snapped and using the smaller bit is very impractical. I think it's a no brainer the comic I'm working on was supposed to by my 8/8 submission. With this, and me underestimating how long it was gonna be, I'm afraid I cannot make the deadline.
Rest assured the comic will be complete...

Definitive decision.
Roxannes jeans will stay on. But I'll have some of her clothes be melted for the final shots of the comic.
