I saw the orthopedic hand surgeon yesterday. The results from the EMG came back negative - this is good news, meaning I don't have any nerve damage or muscle atrophy, and ulnar nerve entrapment is unlikely. Instead, he thinks the main culprit is carpal tunnel syndrome.
