I think I'll be going with the first WIP even though I'm REALLY fond of the second one - mostly because while he is a deeply sad character, I want to show him hiding that feeling because one of the main fixtures of his personality is how he conceals his emotions. But ... idk.

FINALLY figured out his name.
Gamma works as the third letter in the greek alphabet (lowercase γ ) because he's the 3rd prototype in a genetic experiment. But it ALSO has a lot of subtextual meanings that I cannot WAIT to elaborate on someday :)

I was SO excited to draw this character again after so many years but I kind of struggled for some reason.
This front-facing angle seemed too plain and boring for a portrait but it sped up the re-design process considerably
