Just to give an update on the next version of UIAssist. I have been developing an integration with Chokaphi's DecalMaker plugin. This will allow merging of decals (using chokaphi's plugin) but triggered from UIAssist buttons.
Unfortunately I had to very slightly modify the DecalMaker plugin...
