I made reeeeally good progress on this today. Sadly, not enough to be done just yet. I have to touch up Merc's body some more, add sliiightly more contrast, touch up the grass, refine the vines some more, and then do scattered finishing touches here and there. All done! I kinda did something like what I used to do, combined with color choices based on what I learned from painting the past couple months. I think the end results colors are overall better than what I used to do. Hope you all like Sergio. :)

Lineart done here too. Gonna be trying the same softer/low opacity lines here too and paint under them this time, same with Mercenary.
Oh yeah, also ended up fixing the weird perspective/foreshortening I attempted from the first WIP. It just wasn't working. :P
Lineart done. Goin' for a softer line style (and will probably lower it's opacity too) so that I can try to marry both my lines and painterly style together... see how that goes.

Sketches all refined and inking underway~ Will be able to finish inks and get a good chunk of color going next time.

Did the base colors today. Complimentary color scheme base here, then gonna paint from dark to light, then up the contrast by pushing the darks. That's the plan! This Friday I'll be working on T-Bone mostly, and Maxi will be worked on after.
