Too Many Ideas

For a while now I've been doing something called Model Swaps. (Redacted) What are Model Swaps? For a Price, I will take an animation that I have already created and re use it to create a similar video, but with a different character of your choice. This means you get the exact same animation, but with your favorite character doing the exact same thing. I have been offering this service to collect commission money, and it has helped me to keep the lights on. On average, my Patreon income has been at around $1100 a month, and the models swap commissions bring in about $800 a month. This is enough to make a living, but there's a problem. All lot of you guys are paying the price.

You're not getting enough new content. I mean actually NEW content. This is your investment, and I'm not satisfied with your return. The vast majority of my day involves very little actual animating. I'll spend months reusing animations that I have already made. This is ridiculous, because technically the time it takes to produce a brand new animation is relatively short. However, the Model Swaps will take up a whole month of work, time that could be spent creating something new. It's time to make a change.

The problem is 'not enough genuinely new content' (and frankly not enough polished content), so this is my solution. Create new animations (like 'Sweet Skye'), offer them as Model Swappable Commissions, AND offer creative flexibility for the commissioner to pitch their own ideas. Ideas inspired by the animation. BUT, these swaps will come at a much steeper price to the commissioner. This way you guys will receive fresher content more often, be able to watch that content for free the moment it's available, and I can still make a living :D

Oh yeah, the title "To Many Ideas". I just feel like there's been a dozen super cool ideas I have wanted to do in the past several months, but haven't because it was not as important as doing the model swaps. Now, as cool as the ideas were, I'm fine with letting them go. With this new approach to Model Swaps, it will allow more freedom for me to realize cool ideas as they come. Very exciting, I'm excited.
