Oh, I figured that much – I was just wondering if the suit was recycling/reusing the dissolved materials, in order to give itself more resources to do its job. "Waste not, want not," and all that. (Or to put it another way: A good dozen or more pounds' worth of cloth(ing), repurposed into a dozen or more pounds of nanites – that would make the suit's job considerably easier to pull off, now wouldn't it?)

2020-09-18 00:27:45 +0000 UTCI've watched both versions in fact. You may well be correct about the ultimate outcome. I was merely commenting that the intended usage for the matter/energy in her clothes remains to be seen, and the wait to find out will be interminable but so very worth it.

The visual effect is always that the object being transmuted appears to completely dissolve first, then is rebuilt from the ground up into the new item – I figured this was similar, the suit needing to process the materials first before doing… whatever it is it's going to do. (Probably build the nanites needed to properly roboticize Daisy – this <b>is</b> a TF comic, after all.)
