More news on wrestlers asking out of WWE non competes
Added 2021-06-27 15:49:39 +0000 UTCWe reported recently that multiple WWE releases from 2021 have asked to have lenience or to forego their non-compete clauses. We gained confirmation that at least one of them has gained an early out on their WWE no-compete clause, and WWE were willing to let them out of the entirety of it, but that it didn't end up happening. Those that we've spoken to have said that WWE and Johnny Ace have been very easy to deal with in these talks. As far as the most recent releases, some have 30-day non-competes, others have 90.

2021-06-27 22:26:12 +0000 UTCYeah it did make sense during the MNW with Rude & Luger showing up the way they did, but it’s different now! I could see a 30 day but 90 is just crazy!

2021-06-27 16:21:03 +0000 UTCyeah i kinda agree, its not like its the talent thats quiting out on their contract or being fired with cause. If the wwe is gonna break their contract with somebody, then they should leave it up to them whether to take a non compete or not. Honestly, anyone let go in this manner should get a severance package regardless imo,

2021-06-27 16:11:33 +0000 UTCUsually the NXT guys have 30 day. But Nese on a 90. Makes me wonder if Breeze and Fandango are on 30.

2021-06-27 16:08:20 +0000 UTCNever understood why WWE sticks (for the most part) to the non-compete clause! You essentially fired this person which means you don’t want them just let them work and pay bills!!

2021-06-27 16:08:13 +0000 UTCI wonder if there will ever be a wrestler that challenges the legality of a non compete clause like Brock in Japan.
