More on Zelina's return
Added 2021-07-03 16:05:57 +0000 UTCAs Fightful reported in May, Zelina was filmed at the WWE Performance Center. We're told that talks between the two sides had started well before that, and some in WWE let Fightful know that they made an effort to stay in contact throughout the entire process of getting Zelina back.
From the point of Zelina's release, there were several influential names pushing for her to be brought back by the company. When we asked if her Twitch streaming had been negotiated into the deal, the person we spoke to said they haven't heard of anyone working that into new deals yet, and weren't sure if it was broached.
During the process of Zelina's return, Aleister Black was released. As of now, he's not appeared on any internal roster sheets indicating that he'd be brought back, although Zelina has been listed as a "Smackdown heel" on the roster sheet for almost a month. Zelina was also backstage last week at Smackdown. This week, the secret was out and many backstage knew that she'd be returning.
