prince & knight 17
Added 2017-01-12 14:33:17 +0000 UTCI moved the large soldier cat into this mercenary group so she's no longer the Knight's mentor. I couldn't decide on the illusionist's gender, but I guess they're an illusionist, they can just change back and forth as they like lol. I'm more excited about creating illusion-based strategies during fights.
I really like stories where the antagonists are just as complex as the protags. And not necessarily "mwahahaha!" evil, but they have a different set of goals at odds with the protags, and have the potential to become allies if the situation changes. The comic targets kids ages 8-12; I think that's around the age that they can be entertained by moral ambiguity. At least, that's the age where I stopped liking "good vs evil" type stories.
So, the merc group has some history with the Knight... and as the Prince & Knight go through their quest, the merc group becomes more and more tangled in their messes.
I also want antagonists that are focused on the Prince but I have to think a little more about it.
