Added 2017-01-13 08:13:15 +0000 UTCRedesign for the Knight's old squad/mentors, since I moved the fat cat into the merc group. I think this works out better, because I wanted a parallel with the Prince's older brother .
One of the long-running ideas I have is, when you first see the Knight and Prince, the Knight is very chivalrous and the Prince is very charming. But then when the background stories begin, we meet the Knight's mentor and the Prince's older brother, and there is a realization that the two boys are just bratty adolescent wannabes--these are the "real" Knight in Shining Armor/Prince Charming. And I wanted them both to not be men, yet perfectly embody these two masculine ideals. Also, you don't normally see stories about young boys who admire and want to emulate women or genderqueer ppl, and I wanted that too.
I don't consider myself a furry and have no interest in them, but somehow this comic is becoming like a furry comic, lol. Except there are humans. I wonder if the cat and bird people keep cats and birds as pets?
