One Punch Man by Madhouse
When I was younger, I ignored Anime due to ignorant glances at the Television, where upon I only saw over the top action with little consequence or intrigue. Well, not only was this wrong, creators in Japan are very much aware of those tropes. Hence, One Punch Man's existence.
Not only is it one of the funniest shows I've seen in quite sometime, it's one of the most intelligent and endearing. You get the sense while watching that it's not mocking things out of malice, but out of love.
It does for Anime what Kick-Ass did for Superheroes. Poke fun at the medium's indulgences, while expertly exceeding them.

Dark Souls III by From Software
I've written articles years ago describing Dark Souls as a series I wanted to get into, but couldn't due to its sluggish speed and infuriating inputs.
But Dark Souls III is the game that made me a fan with some very simple changes. Wider attacks and faster animations. That's all it took to immerse myself in the open-ended adventure that's one of the most seamless experiences out there.
And the game's currently $12 USD on Humble Monthly.
How about that?

Portishead - Self Titled
I've recommended Portishead's debut in the past, but this follow up is vastly underrated. What it lacks in Dummy's themes, it makes up for in the atmosphere track to track.
The intensity of its opening "Cowboys" is what leads into the rest of the albums mood, that doesn't quit until the finale.
Each listen gets better for me, the best quality a record can have.
