Raycevick's Recommendations: Lara Croft GO OST by Pixel Audio
Added 2020-05-18 13:01:03 +0000 UTCAm I talking about this soundtrack because I recently 100% this game? Yes, in part. I am of course talking about it in larger part to its quality. While preferring isolation and silence while writing or editing, I do sometimes need a soundscape to inspire. Ambient works by the likes of Trent Reznor, Michael McCann, or Sigur Ros traditionally satisfy.
But Lara Croft GO's OST has become one of my main drivers recently. Probably because its intentions and purpose aren't unlike my work. Clearly the composers instruction was to make something notable while allowing the player to think as they'll be confronted with puzzle after puzzle to solve, and it's construction is exquisite.
Personally, I'd honestly like the main Tomb Raider installments to use Pixel Audio's talents. They understand not only how to make something suitable for the franchise, but also how to establish atmosphere without being Hollywood.
