Kasabian - Self-Titled

There's plenty of artists known for one thing out of their plethora of work. It happens regardless of artform, and music's no exception. Case in point, Kasabian. If you've played Midnight Club 3, watched Top Gear Series 8, or a Counter Strike Frag Movie, you've probably heard this album's opening track Club Foot.

It's a fantastic introduction. Setting up an intriguing but dark atmosphere before hitting you with a wicked riff that's almost impossible not to mimic. But much to my delight, the album itself is just as great.

Featuring a variety of mood, style, and genre, Kasabian's debut takes you on quite the journey with only a few tracks that overstay their welcome. For people like me, you'll also discover how much the BBC used nearly all the songs on this album, and for good reason.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford

You're probably thinking what I first thought.

What the hell is that title?

But it speaks to this film's quality that the moment it ended, I understood why that title is necessary. This film isn't simply a heist, thriller, or drama. It's relatively simple story of a legend is one that unmasks much of the glamour and heroism fiction traditionally amplifies.

While the trailer showcases' the films beauty and tension, I'd recommend just hopping straight into it, and seeing that beauty and tension where it originates.

ZType

Here's the first ever browser game to make this list. It's pretty simple. A great time killer, one I was introduced to and proceeded to use during my old job. Similar to Typing of the Dead, it takes the boring concept from all our childhoods, and gives it the context of a traditional arcade shoot em up riot.

I don't remember what my highest score was, all I know is that it's one you'll most certainly be able to be.

Best of luck.
