Update & Pause
Added 2019-10-25 05:59:02 +0000 UTCHello everybody,
It’s been a while hasn’t it? September 1st, I officially assigned this project to myself, and here I am at the official deadline with more work to do.
Now a question I get is if I’m working, why pause? Why deny donations when I’m supposedly working around the clock. And the reason is I’m only working hard in this immediate moment because I didn’t have the foresight or the will to work through it earlier. This week was the period that I’d decide whether to leave the Patreon to charge y’all this month, or pause it once again, and I think the decision became clear when I spent the days after my Birthday gathering drinking more Alcohol.
But, in many ways, this project is a repeat of the Metro: Years Later, where failing to meet the deadline is actually giving me comfort in taking the time to really make this video something I’ll look back on fondly rather than fruitlessly scrambling to meet Modern Warfare 2019’s release date. Video’s currently at 1 Hour minimum, and I’m planning to add onto sequences as I don’t feel I’ve gone into quite enough depth, in regards to gameplay and story. Pre-production definitely doesn't need more, as it's by far the longest development story I've told.
There’s also concepts I’m still debating whether or not to keep, one late night I conceived a moment of pixel-art animation. Days have passed and I still like the idea in part because there’s a perfect song in FiXT’s discography to fit the mood. But this means finding an artist and one who’s very efficient, should any of you reading this know someone to recommend, I’m all ears.
Despite challenges I’ve dealt with for the past two-months, both related and unrelated to the project at hand, I’m much more positive about the video in recent days, as I’ve rather turned around on various aspects about the game itself. The delay I believe will ultimately make for a better video that hopefully, all of you will get to witness very soon.
Best wishes,
Raycevick
P.S. December won’t be paused, I swear on God’s tits.
