Added 2020-01-06 14:00:03 +0000 UTCTo this day, legally obtaining a copy of Outrun Coast 2 Coast for your PC is quite difficult, and not even highly recommended as the port for Coast 2 Coast is quite sloppy, or... slippery.

Doing so has also become ever more pointless, because Slipstream exists, and frankly does a better job than even the original upon which it is clearly based. An identical handling model, and gameplay structure communicates that this is very obviously, an homage to an 80s classic. But like Ironsight was to Black Ops II, Slipstream is a quality recreation of Outrun, with a great sense of speed, lovely visuals, and a brilliantly calming soundtrack.
If you don't play the game, at least play the soundtrack.
Yes it's Synthwave, but isn't the highly distorted aggression of Carpenter Brut or Gost. It's in many ways the opposite. Smooth, relaxing, but upbeat enough to perfectly accompany a high-speed journey across the American countryside.
