Raycevick Recommends: Metropol by Lunatic Calm

Whether it's from the Matrix, Spiderman (2002) Trailer, Motorstorm, or slew of Youtube videos during the site's birth, Lunatic Calm's "Leave You Far Behind" is a classic, and one of my personal favorites of all time. But that's just one song, one song that doesn't at all represent the rest of this album.
I didn't quite realize how literal the band's name is until now. Metropol has songs made of absolute lunacy, separated by calming, low tempo, atmospheric tracks that have accompanied many of my writing sessions, even as I type this right now.
This is why I recommend scanning through albums that feature one song you listened to during childhood. Sometimes, you'll find an hours worth of extra material you never knew existed. After settling some decade spanning legal battles, Lunatic Calm's work is now easily accessible on Bandcamp & Spotify. Luckily, the members involved found success in their next formation, Elite Force, continuing Lunatic Calms eclectic mixing of electronic music.
