A long time ago, in a generation far, far away...
Pandemic made a Star Wars game, that wasn't Battlefront.
Before one of EA's many victims were buried, the company developed a game called The Clone Wars for Lucas Arts. The game will seem very familiar to Battlefront players, being that this was essentially Battlefront Alpha.

You couldn't control foot soldiers, but there were vehicles and masters like Windu to use. It's more Mechassault than Battlefield, as these sorts of games were actually quite popular back in the day. Likely due being developed primarily for consoles that at the time, weren't seen as capable of precise controls.
Recently, I collected a bunch of Original Xbox Games from a local store, and booted this up along with Tetris Worlds out of curiosity. And immediately upon starting the first level, I was reminded of something that always bothered me about Star Wars games growing up.
It begins with this god damn text.
Yup, I'm one of those people who very much appreciated Rogue One's lack of a Title Crawl. Not merely because even as a non-fan, the music has been jack hammered into my brain worse than early Linkin Park, but because it immediately zaps the game's opening of any originality.
This is a game that's all about moving vehicles across a vast battlefield to assist in the greater War in Star Wars. Why then treat this with the same style, duration, and tone of a movie from 1977? And bring it back time and time again whether it's a First Person Shooter, an RTS, or Vehicle Combat Game?
...I honestly don't have a point here, this is just venting about an annoyance that truthfully doesn't involve a game's quality.
