The comic links for Twice As Hot were sent out to the processed $6+ patrons just moments ago. It's turning out to be more pages than I anticipated. It looks like it's going to be a 17 page comic when all is done, and I haven't done one of those in a while.

Part of me is wondering if it's okay to do a long format like that, now that I'm no longer pressured to constrain comic content under my catalog system, yet that kind of thinking still exists in my mind. I wonder how patrons, and my inspiration, would respond to a long-form comic, like something that has a lot of facets, a lot of serial possibilities, that spans a long time.

Either way, when I'm done with Brooke's comic I'll be starting on Lupe, and that work will probably carry me into next year.

Speaking of next year, I'm going to start sharing back issues with $6+ patrons, starting with the oldest of the oldest comics that I've done, in .zip form, here. It's the compromise I've settled on after deliberating what to do about it for a while. My super old stuff is embarrassing, but people want to see it, so... there you go.

Twenty years of doing adult comics, and more to come.

Mmmm... Sounds nice, lol. The longer is better...

I have no way to go around Patreon's system of processing. The comic will be posted next month when the last two pages are finished, along with the new pages of the new comic. So you won't miss anything.

And I would love to see a long style comic! :)

I only just rectified an error in my payment method ;_; If it processes, will I still get a a copy sent to me?

Thaldor

Sounds awesome. Long story,. Short story. It's all good.

TomRedlion

I kinda like doing the color though. I'll think on it.

Jay Naylor

Would love a long story!

David

How much longer do color pages take than b/w ones? Maybe if you start a project that you feel like is going to be a longer one, make b/w instead so it can be completed faster? Back when you were drawing regular webcomics you stuck to b/w pages.

chipsiup

You've quite the portfolio to hand out. I think it might take another twenty years :p

MKX Player

I cannot wait to get your older stuff... It's all perfect in my eyes!

Wrooty

Ahahaha xD Didn't see the last line of the picture come :p

Inumi

Well I'd certainly support 30 pages of Brooke (or more)

Like that one comic about the cat with the sore balls and the only cure was for Fisk to kick him in the balls, that must have been like in 1999. That comic was awesome with the guy having the threesome. Maybe we see If Fisk was his main thing before or if there was another before. Love seeing where they started out as.

TonyHLM

I second the general sentiment. If you're up for a more elaborate story, I'm more than willing to follow along!

Paradigm62

You've done great,Please continue.

Wolfcub

Hey if a story is long then its long. AIn't nothin wrong with that Some of your best works are 17, 18 pages long. I can't wait to see how this ends and I ESPECIALLY can't wait for you to start Lupe. And your earliest work, oohh that'll be interesting.

pokediginut

I'd love to see a longer comic show up. The short ones are great, but something as fleshed out as Samantha is always something I love to see.

Travis Beck

I have no objection to something longer. I've always enjoyed reading your comics and I wouldn't mind in the least if one or more of your ideas somehow turned into a serial comic with a more adult side to it.

Silvador

I think my older stuff is also embarrassing, but I've enjoyed watching your style evolve and I do believe aside from Something Positive and Two Kinds, you happen to be one of my longest watched (stalked) artists on the Internet. Bravo and to the future! :3

GoddessMar

Like, if my muse had me want to follow Brooke for 30 pages or so, I could just keep going until I felt like moving on. But more likely is that I will not want to work on a single character/setting for that long, and would break it up into installments anyway.

Jay Naylor

How long-form are you considering, exactly? Say, an extensive, 20-30 page work, or more of a series like Original Life? Both concepts have their merits and drawbacks. A full comic could allow for exploration of your sci-fi verse, or more chronicles from Southhaven. Bulked-out 'standard' comics would allow for more character development, but not lock you into any one work for an extended period of time. It depends on your implementation.

infernium2068

twenty years!!? whoa.. it seems I have missed out on a lot of your old stuff then... At any rate, here's to twenty more year! cheers!!

TheHoudhini

Is it really gonna be over so soon? I love this comic so much already.
