2021-04-17 06:05:32 +0000 UTCNo, it was directed by 5 different guys, the main being George Cosmatos(Whos son made 2 of the greatest genre films of the last 10 years, Beyond the Black Rainbow and Mandy) The studio fired him, but according to Arnold the best director was an English one(cant remember the name). But you guys realize this is a Stephan King book, right?

Btw, not sure if you already seen Last Action Hero. Arnie shines in comedy there :)

2021-04-11 10:42:00 +0000 UTCI will try to word this reply in a way that doesn't spoil anything, I just rewatched it myself and I feel it does hold up over time because they didn't base to much of the humor off of that time periods pop culture and seemed to draw its humor from Arnolds lack of experience interacting with people and Dannys lack of experience being any form of a decent human being prior to this.

Btw, did you guys recognize Laughlin (Ben's buddy that he "fought" with to kick off the prison break?) He was Parker in Alien. Yaphet Kotto... he's always great. Another quality film of his was Midnight Run (1988), with Robert De Niro.
