Haha! I was dying when I watched the reaction and saw him looking at me with his smirk! Everyone could have been a rat at this point!

It was crazy! He has to have known he was caught in that moment, but still somehow surprising! I guess I didn't expect that from Dignum lol

The boston accents were awesome! Yes, I think Raging Bull needs to be our next Scorsese film after Spooky Season!

We LOVED the town! Unfortunately, we've both already seen it so we can't do a first time reaction.

Scorsese and Leo kill it in the Aviator. Such a well done movie.

Great reaction! If you get a chance check out some David Mamet movies:
"House of Games 1987"
"Spanish Prisoner 1997"
"Spartan 2004"
Not action packed, but simply plotted, and twisty mystery stories. Also a loaded cast drama he wrote but did not direct:
"Glengarry Glen Ross 1992"

"Some people don't trust a guy with an immaculate record. I do. I have an immaculate record."
In a movie where basically every single character is played by a leading actor/actress, it's crazy to me how much both Alec Baldwin and Jack Nicholson (as you guys said) stand out here. Personally, I think Alec got most of the best lines :)
"Sorry to get ya at the last minute but things leak. This lead came from Queenan's undercover guy. I'm gonna have a smoke right now. You wanna smoke? You don't smoke do ya, right? What are you one of those fitness freaks? Huh? Go fuck yourself."
I remember actually falling out of my chair laughing at that exchange the first time I saw the film :)

TBR looking at Sam for her reactions during the elevator scenes towards the end through the actual end with Mark Walberg was amazing. I was literally laughing out loud. And I like that whether Delahunt is an undercover cop or not is left mostly ambiguous, with both Costello and the cops being unreliable to the audience.

I think Collin knew he is going to be shot by Dignum. You don't arrest someone with disguise and silencer :) And Collin was just "alright, i am tired of all of this". The movie is epic in many ways. Not often people mention that, but the love triangle was also intriguing one and how Billy and Collin were completely different about it. Also very good acting from Vera Farmiga. Especially in that scene when he got the prescription.

I am the fortunate one who could experience the movie on a big screen back then. It was a blast! Haven't seen the movie for some time now, so I took it as chance to rewatch it with you. I love the moment when eagle-eyed Sam spotted GK's Godfather in split second appearance and TBR's ear-to-ear smile at the end awaiting a reaction from his wife. That's basically what I do when I show some movie to my friends. And then I'm frustrated when they say nothing apart of "It was good". Thank you for doing this. I'm taking a walk with the post-screening discussion as some sort of therapy 🙏🏼

This is one of Scorsese's best for sure. I love a good drama about an undercover "carp" (gotta love the Boston accents ).
Another great one is "Raging Bull" (1980) which teamed up Deniro and Pesci for the first time.
Deniro was Scorsese's go to actor in the beginning. Lately it's DiCaprio who's done 5 films with him now-- and another that was supposed to release this year. It could be delayed.

Yes! This is, in my opinion, Scorecese's finest film. A stellar cast, unbelievable tension, and a jaw-dropping third act that leaves you speechless. Glad you guys watched this!

If/When you watch it again, keep an eye out for an X somewhere in the scene. An X marks whenever someone is going to die; tape in the elevator, floor design, tape on window, etc.

The Town (2010) is an absolutely fantastic film! The bank heist genre in general is a great avenue of exploration for film reactions. I appreciate you guys watching this film! A huge favorite that has so much re-watch value, every time you watch it you learn more and more to the plot; which just adds to how great this film is.

I think you two would enjoy The Town. It's a heist movie starring Ben Affleck and Jeremy Renner.

Great watch guys! What an insane intense classic. So much happening and yet everything came down to four bangs all within the last 10 mins. Incredible performances all around too. Definitely worth multiple watches.

Sam’s reaction to *that* part was exactly what I expected (even better is the second shock that comes about ten seconds later), but TBR’s lack of a reaction (minus his big grin and side looks at Sam) made me feel pretty confident that he had seen this movie at least once before. I have since gone back to the beginning of the video to hear him confirm my theory. 😊

I believe this marks three Martin Scorsese films for y’all so far, and while he has many, many great films, if there’s one quintessential Scorsese film to watch, it has to be “Taxi Driver”.
I also highly recommend “Raging Bull” and “Shutter Island”.

“Just f*cking kill me.”
“I AM killing you.”
….aaaaand cue the most shocked faces of anyone who ever watched any movie.
I have every intention of doing the full watch-along to this very soon, but I hope y’all understand and can appreciate why I’m gonna go ahead and jump to that scene just to see your collective jaws hit the floor. 😉
