Otto & Olya traditional inking process
Added 2024-02-14 11:55:11 +0000 UTCHere's a long real-time (16 min) video of me inking a panel from Otto & Olya, which I have decided to ink on paper going forward. The pen I'm using is a Pilot Falcon which I picked up years ago. It's an expensive fountain pen but hopefully one that I will have forever, I really like the line that it creates. I am filling in blacks with a Pentel Pocket Brush. These are pretty much the only two tools that I ink with, occasionally using a micron pen for touch ups and different white inks for corrections or detailing. I'm inking on an A3 printout of fairly tight digital pencils - the more defined the pencils are, the faster and more confidently I can ink.
