I forgot how hilarious this movie was and remembered that some parents were pretty pissed off coming out of the theater with their 12 year old kids (I was 31), which is weird because I could swear this was rated R. I mean, what did they expect?
Anyway, this is the only movie of the franchise done by the Wayans (of In Living Color fame) and the franchise definitely lost its edge when they went with Zucker (Airplane, Naked Gun). But the studios went with the cash grab that PG 13 had become

Aww, no worries! I have plenty of Wayans recommendations. Damon Wayans did a movie with Bruce Willis that is called "The Last Boy Scout". I truly believe it's probably Willis's most underrated action film. If you guys haven't seen that yet, I recommend it as a good place to start!

Oh that's clever! We're not familiar enough with those shows to have noticed that, but very cool!

Unfortunately, we've both already seen White Chicks! Such a funny movie! Let us know if you have some other Wayans Brothers film recommendations, though!

yeah that was back in the day when sitcoms very often spawned spinoff sitcoms and there were a lot of characters that even showed up in other sitcoms.

I remember when I saw this in theaters in 2000 everyone (including my teenage self) instantly put it together that exact way. "Fonzie" was the principal in "Scream" so "Squiggy" was the principal in "Scary Movie". Things like that show how different pop culture references were in 2000 vs. 2023.

I saw this in theaters in July 2000 with my father when I was a young teen. We were both stunned by how raunchy it was. But we laughed our butts off, and I remember the theater was absolutely packed. Having already seen "Scream" and the two sequels and "I Know What You Did Last Summer", we were in on the satire and that made it better. Crazy to see how touchy and offended things have become in just a quick 23 years.

I actually saw this before I saw the Scream series so when I watched Scream with you guys, I was like AHH so that's why the killer keeps on like falling down and crap LOL.
But then now that I saw Scream with you guys and I watched this I realize he was more clumsy in Scream that he was in here lol.
I like that they called Sarah Michelle Geller's character Buffy here in this movie :)

Was the guy they hit with the car the same actor as in 'I Know What You Did Last Summer'?

Scream was itself a parody so I've always thought this film was utterly superfluous. That said, Scary Movie 3 is really good (because the Naked Gun people made that one)

Please watch Scary Movie 2, or even the OGs of this type of comedy, Airplane! and the Naked Gun movies.

If you guys weren't aware, that Wassup phone scene is a parody of an 90's Budweiser commercial.

One random thing I think a lot of people miss in this movie is that the Principal of the school is Squiggy from the sitcoms "Happy Days" and and "Laverne & Shirley" (both the actor and the character). I think its supposed to be a play on the fact that Henry Winkler (Fonzie on Happy days) played the school principal in Scream.

I hope this will give you guys more incentive to watch more of the Wayans Bros. movies. I'll be the first to request you react to "White Chicks". XD
