Sometimes I wish the Coen’s would o a TV series because their characters are so rich you hate not seeing them again after a single movie. I’d love to see what Marge Gunderson is up to. Granted most of their characters don’t make it out of the movie alive but still. I’d love to see them take on a longer form series.

TBR and Samantha don't have the luxury to dedicate all of their time to react to tv shows, and movies, it was hard enough as it was, and now it's going to be even harder now that they have a baby on the way.... How would you suggest that they pick the next show?

That's a hell of a commitment for something that's out of your hands. I think you should have a thread closer to the time where people can make the case for the show you watch next, and then the 2 of you go with whatever excites you the most.

2023-07-16 23:50:07 +0000 UTCThe Last Samurai had a couple factors going against it before I decided to watch it: 1) Hollywood's propensity to play into the "white savior" trope and 2) Tom Cruise not exactly being the most nuanced actor of his generation (he goes BIG), but I was happy to learn I was wrong in both assumptions. It's really such a beautifully written, filmed and acted movie from every person involved along the way. It's Cruise's most rewatchable film in my personal canon, and I hope you both LOVE it.
