Stan, I realize saying "be less fragile" can come across as flippant, especially when the two of us don't know each other. But if there's one thing I've learned in all my years online, it's that nasty disagreements can blow up out of nowhere over the topics of music, movies, and tv and I used to take the bait like a sucker all the time. One day, I realized the absurdity of doing that, focused on thickening my skin, and just bailed on any crummy interaction that developed. 1) It preserved my sanity. 2) Ignoring someone who's trying to rile you only ruins their day even more. So when I say "be less fragile," it's intended as good advice. I realize you can't block other users here like you can on Twitter or Facebook and that makes it harder to ignore them because you keep wanting to go back and see if anything new happened. However, I promise you that if you remove yourself from a confrontation you'll forget all about it long before the other person will. My condolences re: your sister. Sometimes bullying gets VERY bad, and that's obviously not what I'm talking about here.

@LKO Actually other members have reached out to me to say they’ve had issues with this user & that they reported it to Sam & Dan. So I’m really not sure where they are getting this “it’s the first time” but whatever. I don’t know where else you go but plenty of Patreon have a zero tolerance policy on bullying and name calling. Cinebinge is an example that comes to mind. And again. It wasn’t as if this just happened once. This user did this over a series of replies and this really only escalated to here in the public because I felt others should know what to expect if they ever message Dan and Sam with an issue. It started out cordial and nice but then Sam let loose with the false equivalency, lying, gaslighting, victim blaming. I even said in my message to her, I hesitate to call myself a victim. I’m not. But the term for what you are doing? Is victim blaming and next time this happen you may actually get someone who feel they have are victim so try to deal with this in a better way. She gave No apology, no explanation. Just said made stuff up. My subscription was ending so I said screw it. These people need to know. I expect people to defend them. That’s cool. But I felt this was warranted. It’s funny that they say I’m attacking their character. But all I did was tell the truth. Nothing I said didn’t happen. And if that’s attacking their character? By telling the truth? Guilty as charged.

At no point have you mentioned ANYONE reached out to you to complain about me. This is the first time. Totally off topic, but I’d love if you guys did some John Hughes movies from the 80s. Ferris Bueller, Pretty in Pink, The Breakfast Club, Weird Science, Sixteen Candles. Maybe you’ve already seen them and that’s why you haven’t done many of them but they’re my favorites. And now adding just from me, the comments on this post supporting and sympathizing with someone accusing us of gaslighting and victim blaming is disheartening to say the least. I will be discussing with Daniel after work whether we decide to leave the comments on on patreon at all moving forward considering I am solely responsible for responding to comments here.
