What rewards would you like to see?

So I've been meaning to ask this ever since I started patreon...

The existing patreon rewards are just things I came up with by myself, by making assumptions about what you guys would probably want. BUT I'm not you, and I really want to make sure everyone gets the most out of the reward system.

We can discuss ideas here, and if a new reward is popular then we can try it out.

Maybe if you have quick tips or something that are useful but don't deserve their own videos then you could post them here?

I love watching the video critiques and I've learned some very useful stuff from them. I'd imagine though they are not as popular as a tutorial type video for bringing in views. As for a giveaway - it would be an option at some point to have a Patreon-only giveaway (maybe a voucher for a cube shop to avoid dealing with shipping). It would be a way to promote the Patreon. One prize for general entry and one for Patreons, so you're not being too biased?

ah, of course, i was reading it as additional, not as summary of the other tiers. thanks.

Oh it's the same but condensed, as in every reward tier gets all the stuff from before as well.

I have sent an average to that email if you have time to view it. Also feel free to make a critique video on it if you would like

The U-Perm ($3) has "Vote in the poll for what video I should work on next, and suggest ideas". The J-Perm ($5) has also "Vote for what video I should work on" I'm not sure what the J-Perm benefit gives you over the U-Perm. What's the difference here?

thanks for the feedback, what do you mean by the part about the poll?

good idea about higher tiers. also I didn't want to do a giveaway because it wouldn't be worth your money to join that tier, that's just my opinion though. critiques sounds good, I'll consider that. thanks!

monthly livestream is something I thought of but didn't know if people would want it. one challenge is timezones and schedule, cause a livestream would likely be for 1-2 hours and people might be sleeping. I guess I could try it out and see how it is

thanks for the feedback!

I think I remember a post about this but I must have forgotten to reply or something. You can send it to wangd97cube@gmail.com, but make sure you also message me to remind me. I don't check that email unless I know something is coming

I would suggest having something more than $10 a month. You've capped yourself lower than maybe what people are willing to pay. I think more incentives could be instead of a walk through solve you could do a video critique of some followers solves again like what you've done in the past. I know they take a while, but they're useful to watch. Other little things could be like sending one random patreon member a cube or something or doing a give away of some kind.

Other than that, I think the name in the videos and private posts and polls are great.

The only thing I would like is another way to send solves to you. Just because of my personal situation, uploading to YouTube is difficult for me so maybe on an email would be good.

$30 seems pretty steep for a font color change and a livestream once a month. Maybe $20 for something like that.

The current rewards are great! Maybe you could add a reward for $30 where you get a gold name at the end of the video and you get access to a monthy livestream.

I like the current rewards fine; I was planning to take advantage of the critique once I get my solves from Oregon State Favorites. So, no helpful suggestions, but at least a data point of "happy with the status quo". :)

At J-Perm level, I'm happy with what you currently have set out. I don't think the student level is relevant to me as I'm not advanced enough, so I'm happy to have those posts blocked, and am happy the extra 2 bucks gets my name on the video over the U-Perm :) It might be worth clarifying what the difference between voting on the poll of what to work on vs voting on the work you do is. If the poll is unanimous in decision, voting on what you actually work on is then a bit moot.
