Remember when democrats' under the Obama administration were pushing the same kind of health consciousness, better school lunches, more active lifestyle? Republicans called our fascism, and they hated the school lunch programs.

2025-05-24 13:28:05 +0000 UTCThis episode in general hit close to home for me because my parents have been deep down the prepper, crunchy anti-medicine pipeline for years now. I wouldn't be surprised if my mom specifically follows Casey Means, but I can guarantee she follows others who take a lot of messaging from her. Right-adjacent health gurus use the seemingly harmless message of "eat healthy and exercise" as a vehicle for their more harmful messages. When my father got covid and he was "treating" himself with ivermectin, I had to beg him to go to the emergency room which thankfully he did. I don't even want to think what might have happened if my pleading fell on more red pill-plugged ears.
