He was holding back the whole fight and let rengoku damage him on purpose to keep healing and further convince him to turn to a demon. If he used his full power, the fight would’ve lasted 10 seconds. Him holding back almost got him killed but in the future you’ll see his true power. IMO THE best villian of the manga
