Both Deku and Bakugo idolized All Might. Deku for rescusing, Bakugo for zero defeat in combat. Because All Might is unbeatable, that gave Bakugo extremely high standard to be an unbeatable hero like All Might, because he idolized All Might. He was always going to be a protagonist in his world.
