I guess it kinda was like a mid season,but I think Fringe fully aired before mid season finales were branded and made a thing. At least on Fox. CW started in 2010. I know because I was watching Supernatural live back then and I was confused when that started up. Don't know if you've ever watched SPN, but it's similar to Fringe. Fringe is more science-y, SPN more fantasy/mythology. If you ever think of watching it don't get intimidated by the millions of seasons the first 5 are the main story and it's fucking amazing.
