I wonder if killing off Charlie1 was just so weβd have a character we loved show up again in world2 thus being able to identify with and like them without comparing them to their alternate versions. If so, it worked. I like Lincoln so far, but it always takes a while to get to care about a new character, and even thought I like alternate Broyles and Olivia I like Earth1 versions more having spent so much time watching them. So having only one Charlie really helps me care about earth2 much more then I did before this season. Also this is one of the best standalone episodes so far. There are really getting good at this, thought the premise is a classical one, they did a good example of it. The actress who played the sister really did a great job giving me the idea of the older more vulnerable version of the guy and sold the depth of their older interdependent relationship in a few scenes which made me care about the story. I still remembered the horse even though I hadnβt seen the episode since it aired.
