I think one of my favourite things about this show is the slow evolution of the Machine. Both in terms of story telling but also visually. It's very much "blink and you miss it" but the amount of foreshadowing and hints about the wider story are actually phenomenal. Also, you really have to admire how much the creators of this show nailed before we got the Snowden expose. It's astonishing how the hardest of Sci-Fi is actually a reality now.

2019-04-12 21:40:50 +0000 UTCSo after seeing this episode, I think it's time to let you in on an interesting connection, especially having glimpsed at how the machine works. So Jonathan Nolan is the creator of this series and the basis of it is The Dark Knight. Jonathan worked on TDK with his brother Christopher. The machine that Batman/Bruce Wayne, Lucius Fox uses in The Dark Knight is basically the machine used here. He took that idea and created this entire show around it. Which I guess makes Reece, Batman and Finch as Lucius Fox.
