Not really a spoiler, but X man is an abandoned plot line (technically) Fans did come up with an explanation towards the end of the series based on info that's given then(That's spoiler info), but in the show it's presented as a mystery to solve, and it is never brought up again or addressed. So I don't think whatever "explanation" eventually is hinted at was ever the intended explanation the writers meant to explore when they thought up this sequence. It doesn't go any further. Yet another reason I dislike that string of 3 episodes. LSD Broyles for the win though. Anyways, now that the distractions are over with ... The plot can start moving again. Which Olivia will Peter choose?
