I’m glad you’re not buying into the whole nen thing as if it’s some kind of flawless transcended power scaling thing... its waaay too hyped up by way too many people that if you’re not allowed to criticize it without you being the one who “doesn’t get it”

2019-08-31 11:16:50 +0000 UTCGreed Island used to be my least favorite arc not including the exam (and Zoldyck if you count those episodes as an arc). But over my rewatches I like it more than Heaven's arena, at least. It's probably third after CA and Yorknew. There is so much that it does right... in fact I feel like it's only real weakness is that the villain isn't AS interesting as the others, but even that's only really because the show has such god-tier antagonists (Hisoka, Illumi, Phatom Troupe, and some of the ones we know are yet to come). Some of the best moments are in Greed Island, and I love the way Gon and Killua develop their nen.
