I heard about it and watched the first episode when it came out, but I didn't dig it and then like a year and a half later I'm hearing all this praise for season 2 so I tried again and by Ep. 4 I saw what they were building to and appreciate the early pace more. At the time the story threads are so separate its hard to see where its going. Same thing happened with Black Sails, I was meh on the first episode but then the season 2 buzz made me rethink.

Frankly, I don't recall if I even liked the first season that much, and I don't really recall what happens, but I still kept watching nonetheless. Season 2 and 3 is where things get really good.
