By the way, last episode in your discussion you said that Holden is the protagonist. Holden is not THE protagonist, he is one of the protagonists, and I would argue other characters are just as important. He serves as a very Jon Snow esq character in that he is a sort of morally righteous good boy, but I wouldn't say he is the main character. Holden can and will be both wrong and right about various things and the show does a good job of showing that conflict.

As far as Holden, remember in Season 1, they do make a lot of references to Don Quixote, and Holden is that knight charging at windmills, fighting impossible fights with this idealism. Though in this episode we do see him go to kill Cortazar, so its changing a bit.
