Yeahhh... Season 2 is last season of Dexter bad. And much like it, it boasts some solid performances and interesting ideas, but has its head so far up its own ass that, by the time it miserably limps towards a bafflingly awful finale, you’re just mad that these were 8 hours of your life you’ll never get back.
That being said, if you were ever going to do like a hate-watch/MST3K-style reaction series... it’d be a good candidate. Enough good things happen to carry you through.

I am glad you liked it dude. I made it halfway through season 2 before I quit so I cant really suggest you watch it when I couldn't. You watch a lot of drama and action shows, so I would suggest you pick something funny and/or light. Rick and Morty is pretty funny and all seasons have over 90% rating on rotten tomatoes. Just a thought. Cheers.

My favorite thing about the show is its subtle hinting that Rust is psychic, but doesn't quite realize it.

If it was a different show, I wouldn't have made it half the season, honestly. Too many characters, too many uninteresting characters, bad actor choices, poor plot ... ect... That's not to say it doesn't have its moments. But they're few and far for me.

True Detective Season 2 isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be, it just has the bad luck of coming after what was one of the greatest seasons of any show in tv history. If you try to think of season 2 as a different show, I don't think you would be as disappointed as everyone is saying you would be. It has some interesting characters, and great moments. The plot is an odd choice, but again, you're not gonna beat the almost lovecraftian mystery idea of the first season, plus Rust and Marty are an unbeatable combination. I hope you change your mind about polling season 2.

I was pretty happy about the ending watching this week to week as it came out. It was building to a confrontation of a kind and when it came and Rusts vision popped up after all his philosophy that everyone kept discussing on forums, it was glorious. Had a nagging feeling too which after further reflection was a general uneasiness about their story, how they didn't get them all or how that network of however many people didn't seem to get revealed or even pursued. And that fit pretty nicely within the context of this story, that is how life is, a lot of darkness with light shining through. All the chaos in the world and sentience built upon our synapses conducting electricity from our different senses and how interpreting it all is just a giant storm of clouds, with hopefully a warmth feeling of love underneath. Nonsense aside, Marty and Rusts story shone through, they got theirs and that is what mattered. Loved this season. Oh, and looking forward to The Witcher. Full length?
