An Update and Question
Added 2020-03-02 14:24:34 +0000 UTCFirstly, POI 5x7 and Deadwood 1x2 will be up in a few hours (technical difficulties).
Secondly, the anime poll will be up this week... Completely changed my mind on that lol. Any suggestions should be posted in the comments.
And lastly, has anyone seen Hunters on Amazon Prime? I'm gonna watch it. It's Al Pacino hunting Nazis.... So fuck yes. Idk if it's worth putting up though... Hence the question.

Watched the 2nd and 3rd eps already on HBO on demand...but struggling with the PiP download.

2020-03-03 04:26:47 +0000 UTCHunters at the same time is somehow great and kind of awful. It is an interesting experience with all the tone shifts, and I get if it is not for everybody but i guess I had fun with it. Vincent Hanna the greatest though.

2020-03-03 01:43:15 +0000 UTCFor anime, I think it very clearly needs to be Mob Psycho 100. Same creator as OPM, but an overall better series, only two reasonably short seasons to see, and the rare case where the sub and dub are equally great. And I genuinely think Reigen has the potential of entering your top characters, so I kind of just need to experience you falling in love with him.

2020-03-02 22:40:15 +0000 UTCI might chuck my recommendation in for Fate Zero. The series is a battle royal esque death game where seven mages summon heroes from the past to fight in place for them (Eg, Alexander the Great, King Arthur, Joan of Arc) to win the Holly Grail and omnipotent device that can grant any wish. The series feels very western in story telling a bit similar to Bebop in that our cast are all older and the mood of the show matches that. Beautiful art, some intense fight scenes and a rather strong ensemble of characters with conflicting morals and dynamics. If it does interest you I would suggest watch it sub as though the dub for the series is top notch the dub for it's sequel is a little less so. If you're not feeling it just yet though Berserk and Black Lagoon as others have mentioned are both really freaking good though in regards to Berserk I would be more interested in you reviewing volumes of the manga personally

2020-03-02 22:17:12 +0000 UTCGoing to recommend berserk again (97 series). I’ve been watching you since 2016 and I’m almost positive you would like it more than any other anime on the list up til now. Shame it doesn’t always get all the votes on polls
Light Yagami
2020-03-02 21:10:10 +0000 UTCHunters is one of those series that a lot of folks either love or hate, and either get it or don't. A lot of 5's or 1's on that show(48% say awesome, 36% say utter waste of time, 18% fall somewhere in between currently), and for all the common reasons nowadays, most having little or nothing to do with the actual story line. Should you react to it? Well, either way you fall on it, a good portion of your audience will likely take exception to your opinions, so if that's a concern, maybe not. If that's not a concern, there are certainly moments throughout the series that would seem to be structured to elicit a response, so it may be worth it. I would lean toward you doing it, if for nothing else than to get your opinion, but maybe watching it and posting a review after would be a better way to go. I watch for more of the live action reactions, so no requests on anime from me.

2020-03-02 18:57:50 +0000 UTCBlack Lagoon for anime poll although there's not a lot of fans for this one out there. Dub is probably the way to go just for cheer hilariousness.

2020-03-02 17:31:34 +0000 UTCIn terms of Anime, check out Ghost in the Shell SAC 1 and SAC 2 (these are S1/S2 OAV), then finish Ghost in the Shell SAC Movie which is the finale of this version of GITS. The movies are ok but the Stand Alone series are the best in depth look at this anime series. The Arise stuff is newer but lack the depth of the SAC series. Hunters is very inconsistent and actually really annoying to watch. In fact, given your propensity of hating characters written or acting poorly, you might want to avoid this one. Al Pacino is actually excellent and so is the supporting veterans on the show. It's the other people that are the problem, only series that made me almost quit the show after the pilot. If you're looking for a one and done series, keep Warriors in mind. I'm hoping that the show gets saved like the Expanse did as well as Jett. It's a shame that some of the most memorable series came out of Cinemax and they never overcame their former bad rep as a softcore channel.

2020-03-02 16:10:01 +0000 UTCHaven’t seen Hunters, so can’t provide any input on that. As for Anime Recommendations I’m going to suggest Steins;Gate. 25 episodes total and vey much a slow burn to start with, but if you stick with it, the payoff is worth it (imo).

2020-03-02 15:41:35 +0000 UTCI'm with Derek. I was expecting a much more serious 70's style thriller. It's not that. Characters breaking out into song was pretty much where I lost interest. There is stuff to like, but I found myself watching YouTube videos while it was on, so I was clearly not engrossed by it. To be clear... it's cool if that's your thing; it's just not mine.

2020-03-02 15:07:37 +0000 UTCI wasn’t feeling Hunters. It was average at best. I can’t agree that The Boys was equal to this. The boys was so much better. To me Hunters was a mixed bag, some really good with some really bad.
