I read an interview a while back that talked about the aspect ratio. It's intentionally the super wide screen on stuff related to Ilus since it's this untamed frontier, to give it a more western vibe.

lol as per always and thankyou!i don't hate holden like a lot of people seem to but that was very reminiscent of him stopping ashford from firing last season-lol and that was a very accurate analysis of the two actors playing mravasarala way better than how i could've put it into words

Actually, if you look back, Holden changed a lot since 1x1, but kinda still is a naive righteous "idiot". Still, some of his acts were right, at least he always tries to do the right thing, which Amos acknowledges. Holden also comes up with a good strategy, maybe because he's a former UN fleet officer.
I wouldn't say Amos changed a lot, he's just unfolding.
Alex and Naomi didn't change too much as well, we just learned their backstories.
Ashford is the most interesting, as presented in the show, a badass pirate who embraced structured military and organization over chaotic plunder, and eloquent speaker who got wise probably just with age.
