I know there have been some larger story stuff sprinkled in but I just think the writing in these episodes has not been up to par, seems like they didn't have a solid plan on what to do post Shaw.

2020-01-18 03:55:42 +0000 UTCEven Finch flashbacks cannot save a "he killed my wife" episode. I do love the ambiguous ending and the line in the flashback about not giving the Machine a voice, so it should have nothing to say. That was kind of crushing. Flashback Finch always had a wonderful and parental relationship with the Machine. This was a rare flashback with post-Nathan Finch in a very dark place. But the flashbacks would have been more impactful if it were not Alicia but some other government suit. There was no suspense in this one.
