He hurt Hood bad, I mean even worse than what he suffered inside the prison as this was mental trauma. This was going to be beyond personal to make him feel a fraction of the pain he suffered. You're right though that they should have planned things out a bit better, but given the FBI and the whole squad was only a few min away, they couldn't really plan things out. I also like that the Kinaho deputy could not shoot Chayton, the equivalent of this is if confronting a childhood friend you grew up with, one turning out to be a cop while the other being an outlaw. She probably felt empathy from this while he had just decided she wasn't part of the tribe. Overall though I agree this is their best season by far.
