Dinner & A Movie Poll

Please check out my previous post if you haven't! Lots of changes happening :)

Then I post mine i play the title screen (studio logo, whatever) and then just put my camera larger in front of the footage (so you can still kinda see it around the edges), mute it and add the timecode onscreen. I think that’s how I’m going to do it from now on.

Another thing that can help with that is a timecode running somewhere on screen. The caveat here being that it needs to be accurate, lol.

I'd enjoy full length versions so I can watch it with you! But to echo some other commenters here, don't feel too much pressure to add Audio/Visuals. Don't want you getting flagged! Another reactor I watch includes a blurred out version and timer so viewers can check that they're still in sync with you, but use their own version so you're not breaking copyright. :)

I'll second the caution; I think that an occasional audio visual cue every ten minutes (or twenty minutes for movies) is a fair compromise. Certainly helps me to stay on track when the run speeds are different.

As someone who is a creator, not only a viewer, I would advise caution. I too switched to including the footage and audio with my Buffy reactions because this space is so full of creators already doing that that I felt I had to switch to compete. BUT Buffy is a little unique. I haven't yet had a problem when uploading directly to Patreon but I did have my entire account taken down on another platform because I uploaded a reaction to a film. It got claimed and I lost my entire account and, as a result, had to spend a couple of weeks re-uploading all the content that was lost. Again, Buffy is one thing. Other content -- especially content from Disney or Paramount...sometimes MGM...and others, I'm sure -- can cause problems. It is, after all, illegal. Just be careful.
