Whatever happened to a good old, skull-and-crossbones poison label? Although I guess that symbol was also used on gravestones back in the day, so it isn't all that clear even on earth. Wouldn't want to entice graverobbers...

Back in the lieutenant level BAYBEEE. I was thinking about how it doesn't make sense that the universal translator would be able to translate every word except "radioactive" into the Barkon language. I know they wouldn't have a word for it, but it should translate it into something like SUPER SUPER DANGEROUS. But whatever. The real point I wanted to raise was that this made me think about the debates people have had regarding how to best mark sites of nuclear waste that will serve as good warnings for future civilizations. It makes me think that Starfleet should have something better than a briefcase with the word RADIOACTIVE written on it. So I put it to you: with all of the technology of the 24th century, how would you mark something as radioactive that would be interpretable by all cultures on all worlds?

I am laughing at the several minutes of digression kicked off by the Sito (Sigh-tow) Sato (Sah-tow) debate … especially since her name is actually pronounced See-tow. Keep on tightening up the top of the podcast, boys! 😉🤣
